The Importance of Christian Education

September 16, 2018

At HOPCA we strive for academic excellence, however our focus is pouring our hearts and souls into students with the hope that they will in turn pour their hearts and souls into sharing Jesus with others.

Instead of despairing about the new generation, we are working to ensure they are receiving God’s Word and Love.  We are endeavoring to equip them, to prepare them to do God’s work.  Our students are exposed to God’s Word continually through their paces, devotions, and chapel services.  Deuteronomy 6:6-7 says, “And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart: and thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up.”  We want to join with parents and raise up a generation for Christ.  As both a parent and a Christian educator, I can testify to the success of a Christian education.  My children were well prepared for college, but most importantly, all three love God.  My husband and I have always said that was a testament of the other people in their life, as much as our influence.  As a parent, what more could I ask for?  As an educator, I want the same for your children.

Pray and if you feel God’s calling, please join us in furthering Pastor White’s vision of a Christian education for our youth.
