The oldest of nine children born to Angela and William White, Pastor White, or "Brother Butch" as he is better known, is a visionary who inspires others to set goals and strive to achieve them. He believes in the power of prayer and the value of hard work.
Born and raised in southern West Virginia, he married his childhood sweetheart, Judy, in 1965. Together they have been faithfully serving in ministry for more than 45 years. They have traveled the back roads of West Virginia, Ohio, Tennessee, and surrounding areas preaching the Gospel and ministering to people all while raising their five children.
Eventually, God called Pastor White to establish a church in Lester, WV which has since moved to its current location in Sophia, WV, where they have been for the past twenty-five years. In addition to traveling and founding House of Prayer, pastoring churches in Lego, WV and Oceana, WV, Pastor White established House of Prayer Christian Academy which places an emphasis on Christian education. He also volunteers at Southern Regional Jail where he has been awarded for his faithfulness and dedication.
In their free time, Pastor White and Sister Judy enjoy being on the river and spending time with their thirteen grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
